Why this recognition matters for the modern enterprise.

Virtana has been named Best Hybrid Cloud Solution by The Cloud Awards, and we are genuinely honored by the recognition. Awards do not change what customers need, but the right awards can validate what practitioners are already living every day. This one does.

Hybrid cloud is no longer a transition phase. It is the permanent operating model of the modern enterprise. Critical applications now run across on-premises infrastructure, multiple public clouds, container platforms, and increasingly AI pipelines. When something goes wrong, it rarely fails in just one place. It fails across dependencies.

That reality is what makes hybrid observability so hard and so important.

Most monitoring tools were designed for a simpler world. They look at one layer at a time: applications, infrastructure, cost, or logs. Teams today have more data than ever, but they rarely have a shared view of what is actually happening across their hybrid environments. The judges saw that same pattern, and that is what this award reflects.

Hybrid is not just “some things in the cloud and some things on-prem.” It is a living dependency web. A user request hits an application. That application depends on services, containers, and APIs. Those services depend on compute, storage, and network. Cost shows up in cloud bills and capacity plans. Risk shows up in saturation, misconfiguration, and change impact. When those signals are not connected, visibility gaps force teams to guess instead of decide.

What we believe, and what this recognition reinforces, is that hybrid environments demand a different observability model. One that connects the layers instead of measuring them in isolation. Virtana was built to deliver enterprise-wide observability across applications, services, containers, infrastructure, and AI systems in one shared model. The goal is not to centralize for the sake of centralization. The goal is to give teams a common operating picture so they can see what is really driving an issue, understand what will be affected, and make decisions that balance performance, cost, and risk together.

This is becoming even more important as AI moves from experimentation into production. AI workloads introduce new kinds of infrastructure behavior, from GPUs to data pipelines, that traditional tools were never built to track. Hybrid complexity is accelerating, not slowing down, and visibility gaps are becoming more expensive.

The Cloud Awards recognition matters because it signals what practitioners are prioritizing. Not more dashboards, but better context. Not more tools, but better decisions. Not isolated metrics, but a model that reflects how modern enterprises actually operate.

If you are responsible for reliability, cost control, or modernization in a hybrid environment, a simple test applies. Can your observability platform explain performance, cost, and risk as one story across your services and infrastructure? If not, you will keep paying the tax of fragmentation and reactive firefighting. If yes, you can start moving from chasing symptoms to preventing problems and making change safer.

We are grateful to The Cloud Awards and the practitioners who evaluated this year’s submissions. More importantly, we are excited to see the industry align around what hybrid cloud really requires. Context beats dashboards, and this recognition tells us that the market is ready for that truth. Read more about the award in Virtana’s Press Release.
