Bringing AI-Powered Hybrid Infrastructure Management to the Gartner IOCS Summits

At Virtana, we make a concerted effort to keep a close eye on the innovation and research taking place in the IT operations sector. Maybe to no one’s surprise, Gartner is one of the leading advisors when it comes to this industry, and we take every opportunity to soak up information from the influential analyst firm. As such, the team recently attended both the UK edition of Gartner’s IT Infrastructure, Operations & Cloud Strategies conference in London, and the US edition in Las Vegas. Both events focused on “enabling your IT infrastructure for the future,” teaching I&O professionals to accelerate innovation and agility in a hybrid world and enable their organization’s digital future.

Over the last decade, the adoption of fast-evolving technologies, methodologies and tools have not only created new capabilities, but have also become a catalyst for innovation across the enterprise. Virtana exemplifies this shift in technology innovation, and summit attendees were keen to learn about new monitoring platforms and how they can assure the performance and availability of both their legacy and hybrid application deployments. Visitors to our booth had the chance to see demos of VirtualWisdom, the industry’s most comprehensive hybrid IT infrastructure management and AIOps platform, WorkloadWisdom, the industry’s leading production infrastructure workload modeling and performance validation platform, and Virtana’s newest solution – CloudWisdom – a SaaS-based cloud cost optimization and monitoring platform. Seeing Virtana’s full portfolio of solutions in action illustrated to attendees how much the company has evolved over the years.

London IOCS hosted 1,300 delegates from across Europe, with more than 800 industry leaders in attendance; and all were ready to discuss emerging trends and best practices for IT operations mangagement, cloud operations, and IT service support. The Virtana team spoke with more than 200 delegates about our company and showed demos with many of them.

In addition to the eye-opening product demos, David Cumberworth, Virtana’s managing director for EMEA, presented at the London summit. His session focused on the challenges of infrastructure sprawl and how one of the UK’s largest retailers partnered with Virtana to transform their infrastructure, stop production outages and make intelligent decisions about cloud migration. Attendees walked away with an understanding of what it really takes to manage infrastructure sprawl in a hybrid environment – something that more and more enterprises are experiencing in their day-to-day operations.

In early December, we made our way back across the pond for the US edition of Gartner IOCS in Las Vegas. While in Sin City, Virtana CTO John Gentry presented alongside Todd Weeks, Global VP of Product Operations at Plex, a leader in SaaS ERP and MES software for a variety of industries. During the session, John and Todd discussed how Plex is leveraging integrated solutions from Virtana, Cisco-AppDynamics and Dell-EMC to bring their application and infrastructure performance analytics to a new level.

Gartner summits are some of the most informative industry events we regularly attend, and the Gartner IT Infrastructure, Operations & Cloud Strategies Summits were a fabulous opportunity to network with I&O specialists and discuss what the future of digital transformation means for the enterprise. If you weren’t able to attend one or both of the events, or didn’t make it to our booth, you can still request a personal demo of our full portfolio of solutions. Drop us a line and we’ll be in touch!Want to see where in the world we’ll be next?
